I went to Long Beach ComicCon yesterday for the first time. It’s a small con, with not much in the way of panels, but it had a large Artists Alley and a lot of cosplayers. I dressed up as the Riddler (my first time cosplaying in YEARS) and got my photo taken a whole bunch of times. Here’s a few photos I got with and of other people. Check out the captions for more information.

EXTRAS: Thor Cupcakes!

I just have a lot of beautiful shots of of my Thor cupcakes and they must be shared! Mostly because that helmet was the bane of my existence.

Fun Fact: Thor’s helmet is made from 56 individual pieces. He beat his brother Loki’s helmet record by 31 odd pieces.

THOR CUPCAKE. This is the greatest Tumblr ever. She’s thinking of making a Sterek cupcake or cookie, too.

Loki: Down, Thori!

Thor: …you named the dog after me?

Loki: No, it was another Thor. One who had the good grace not to go and get himself killed and leave me with these barbarians.

Hogun: Vikings, not barbarians.

Fandral: Are we Vikings too, Hogun, or merely Viking Gods?

Volstagg: Ah, a true theological conundrum, Fandral.

Excellent brothers. “NO I DIDN’T NAME MY DOG AFTER YOU I NAMED IT AFTER A BETTER BROTHER WHO DOESN’T FRIGGN DIE ON ME AND LEAVE ME WITH LOSERS >:(”  In comics, dying is the equivalent to like, abandoning your family to go binge drinking. It inconveniences everyone around you, and they are grumpy when you get back.

good panels, good commentary

Everything You Ever: A video about Loki of Asgard set to music from Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.

I need to congratulate everyone in Thor on their faces. Particularly Tom Hiddleston, of course. But all the actors convey so much subtle emotion in their faces that even when I’d removed the movie audio, you still get so much from them. I should also congratulate the CGI people, because Asgard is simply gorgeous. I love this movie more every time I watch it.
