Let’s cross our fingers and hope that this is just a fluke. Or maybe even a bad joke! But apparently the cover to the 21st issue of Young Justice has been changed. Icon was originally on the cover and now he is not….

While I’d love to hope that whatever is going on between DC and the Milestone characters does not affect the show….this small change is starting to make that idea sound a lot more probable.

They curiously don’t address Icon by his name. They refer to him as the JLA’s “Cooperative Delegation”. I’m thinking the rumors about legal troubles with the Milestone heroes might be accurate.

oh no… what is the show going to do? Will the episodes (old and new) be released? Will they have to change the story around/ignore past plot threads? Are they just going to try and resolve the dispute?

or they could even just cancel everything… the cover of this issue today said “Part 2 of 6,” let’s hope it was just referring to the story arc and not the series as a whOLE aaAAAAHHhHHhHHH

With YJ pushed back to January, hopefully they can work out any legal troubles by then.

Otherwise I’m not sure what course of action they could pursue. I think the rest of the season is nearly completed so it’s far too late to go back and cut Rocket and Static out of everything.

It’s possible the legal issues only apply to the print comics and they’ll still be on the show. Which is not ideal, of course, but better than having to tank or redo all the episodes already in the can.
